Fortunato Depero. Fantastic Ride

The exhibition presents for the first time in Florence the work by the master of futurism Fortunato Depero, who was able to combine the popular element with a fervent figurative imagination, comic graphics with that of cartoons, contemporary themes with traditional motifs such as of the horse. The exhibition retraces some of the themes that characterized the artist's production, highlighting the link between his figure and his work with the Florentine territory. Great importance is given to the practice of drawing and the complex relationship that links Florence to the arts, as well as to that of works on fabric, such as the splendid tapestries of which the “Cavalcata Fantastica” and “Due Maschere Tropicali” are on display.
