On occasion of the seventh centenary of Dante's death, the exhibition intends to reconstruct the relationship between the Supreme Poet and his hometown, from the years immediately following his death until the fifties of the fourteenth century, presenting the actors, initiatives, places and themes. The exhibition, divided into six sections, presents over fifty manuscripts and works of art from libraries, archives and museums, and finds the ideal location in the Bargello National Museum, given the "presence" in the Podestà Chapel of the Dante's first portrait, work by Giotto and his pupils.
